VIN 1001 to 7355

Prior to 1983 (VIN 7355 approx) the steering rack pinion housing seals were secured with a circlip in the top of the pinion. From 1983 this was modified to a cover which is peened over on the top of the housing. Both racks have rectangular mounting feet and are interchangeable. If, however, you are ordering a seal kit please ensure you know which type of pinion housing you have. If your rack has been modified to the later type with oval mounting feet please order UR71815R.
